On 5th of March 2008, the Government in its Resolution No.83 has re-approved a list of priority sectors. For instance,
-           In industrial sector: production of processed petroleum or generating liquid fuel by brewing coal and petroleum using direct or indirect method, producing  steel and iron, and producing processed products in coke kiln, as well as producing iron and steel pour;
-           In agricultural sector: irrigation equipments for additional activities/ irrigated agriculture which encourages agrarian production in agricultural sector;
-           Production of electricity and gas;
-           In construction sector: plant for recycling/utilizing waste, a tourist complex service centre, in accordance with international standards;
-           In light industry: textile outlet, processing of skin and hides, to produce footwear.
Investment tax credit equal to 10 percent shall be granted for investment in priority sectors of Mongolia after January 1, 2007. Above mentioned tax credit shall be granted for investment in depreciable non-current asset for purpose of starting new production and services or expanding or renovating existing production and services in the priority sectors of Mongolia.

Furthermore, according to Article 24 of Investment Law provision on Labour and social security relations, foreign citizens who are employed by business entities with foreign investment and a branch of a foreign legal entity shall be liable for income tax in accordance with the laws of Mongolia and may transfer their income abroad after paying tax.
Moreover, Foreign Investment and Foreign Trade Agency of Mongolia issues a Foreign Investor ID card required for obtaining a residency permits and multiple entry visas for foreign investors, administering foreign investment company, company workers and foreign citizens working at the representative offices in Mongolia. However, The Central Employment Department will handle company contract workers with foreign citizenship.
